First 5 Shasta's vision is that Shasta County will a resilient community with
strong families where young children thrive. The mission is to work in partnership with the community to promote, support and improve the early health, development, and learning of children from the prenatal stage through five years of age. By investing earlier in a child's life and in a family at the start, your investment has a greater return then if we wait to utilize interventions. Prevention and support is key.
