Nigel Sampson

Nigel Sampson is currently the Director of Engineering at First AML since October 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Pushpay as a Principal Software Engineer and a Staff Software Engineer. At Pushpay, they provided technical guidance across multiple engineering teams and was responsible for simplifying problems and reducing project complexity. Before Pushpay, Nigel was a Senior II Software Engineer at Pushpay where they led a team focused on the payment platform. Nigel also has experience as an Apps Technical Lead at Marker Metro, where they built Windows Desktop and Windows Phone apps for clients and mentored their team. Nigel worked as a Developer at M-Com, assisting in the development of a mobile banking solution, and as a Senior Developer at Vista Entertainment Solutions, where they built a cloud-based cinema management solution. Nigel also served as a Senior Developer at Ice Interactive, leading a team of web developers, and as a Senior Product Developer at Iciniti Corporation, developing new products. Nigel's work experience began at Image Centre as a Developer, where they eventually became the lead for a development team. Overall, Nigel has a diverse background in engineering roles and has expertise in various technologies, including ASP.NET and NHibernate.

Nigel Sampson completed a Bachelor of Computing and Mathematical Science in Software Engineering at The University of Waikato from 1999 to 2003.
