Michael Smith

Michael Smith is a seasoned banking professional with extensive experience in commercial banking and credit management. Currently serving as the Commercial Banking Director at FirstBank Florida since August 2023, Michael previously held key positions at BankUnited from August 2017 to August 2023, including Managing Senior Credit Officer and SVP Senior Credit Officer. Prior to this, Michael was the SVP - C & I Credit Manager at Ocean Bank from January 2009 to July 2017. Michael began a career in banking as a bank examiner at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency from 1995 to 1998. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Universidad de Puerto Rico.
