Ram Kumar

Ram Kumar is a seasoned technology and operations executive with extensive experience in strategic management and IT transformation. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Infrastructure & Operations at First Citizens Bank since December 2013, Ram Kumar has successfully transformed the team into a strategic business partner and overseen the design and delivery of two new datacenters. Previous roles include Vice President of IT at Oracle, and Assistant Vice President of Information Technology at Tekelec, where Ram Kumar led the IT department and collaborated with business leaders to establish strategic roadmaps. Early career experience features a Senior Principal Consultant position at Oracle and independent consulting for Deloitte Canada, focusing on ERP implementations. Ram Kumar began in finance, holding various accounting and audit positions, and possesses a BS in Mathematics from Bharathidasan University and is a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
