Pete Whelan

Pete Whelan is an experienced financial services professional and former United States Air Force officer. Since August 2005, Pete has served as a District Advisor for Southwest Ohio and Indiana at First Command Financial Services, Inc., overseeing 13 Advisors. Previously, Pete held the position of Vice President of Division Operations, leading 15 District Advisors in business development and recruitment efforts. Earlier roles included District Advisor and Principal in Eastern North Carolina, where responsibilities included recruiting and training financial advisors. Prior to a successful career in finance, Pete served in the USAF for 20 years as a Fighter Pilot and held leadership positions such as Chief of Wing Readiness and Chief of Combat Airspace Plans. Pete holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the United States Air Force Academy and an MBA from East Carolina University.
