Leon Smith

Leon Smith is a Senior Business Analyst Consultant at First Derivative since July 2021, bringing extensive experience from HSBC, where Smith worked from December 2005 to August 2020 in various roles, including Senior Risk Analyst in the Wholesale Credit Risk Transformation team and Global Business Analyst for foreign exchange and interest rate risk sensitivity platforms. Smith also led the Asia-Pacific Market Risk Change Management team as Manager and served as Manager in Market Risk Control. Educationally, Smith holds an Honours Bachelor of Science (H. B. Sc.) in Applied Mathematics from the University of the Free State, earned between 1993 and 1997.
