Eric Schmid

Eric Schmid is a highly experienced cheese technologist with a diverse background in various roles within the dairy industry. Currently serving as Principal Cheese Technologist at First District Association since March 2023, Eric previously held positions such as Head Cheesemaker at Arethusa Farm Dairy and Plant Manager at Brunkow Cheese of Wisconsin, managing cheesemaking, food safety, and customer relations. With additional experience as a cheesemaker in multiple startup operations and a sanitation supervisor, Eric has developed expertise in cheese production, research and development, and quality control throughout a career that began in 2013. Eric holds a High School Diploma from Monticello High School, earned in 2012.
