Chin Kuo

Chin Kuo started their work experience in 1987 as the AVP of Engineering at Advance Graphics Applications, where they gained valuable experience with technology and management. Chin then co-founded Applied Programming Technologies in 1989 and took on various responsibilities such as designing PC peripheral hardware and managing production.

In 1993, Kuo became the Director of Software Development at Cheyenne Software, where they led the development of innovative solutions and served as a technology liaison for major OEMs. Chin later joined Computer Associates in 1996 as an SVP, leading project management and development efforts for data protection and storage management products.

From 2005 to 2008, Kuo worked at FalconStor Software as the Director of SMB/SOHO Solutions, responsible for the Intel Baxter Creek NAS product. Chin then held various roles at FalconStor, including VP of Product Management, VP of Engineering R&D, and Business Unit Manager, where they managed product strategy, engineering, and quality assurance for virtual tape library and file deduplication solutions.

In 2013, Kuo co-founded Just One Data, a storage software startup specializing in data reduction and protection technologies for cloud storage. Chin served as the CEO and was responsible for team recruitment, product strategy, business development, sales, and marketing.

Kuo joined Neverfail (formerly Artisan Infrastructure) in 2015 as the SVP of Product Development and CTO. In this role, they were in charge of software development, product management, and product vision for business continuity and DRaaS solutions. Chin managed a global team based in the US, UK, Romania, and China.

Most recently, Kuo joined First Due in 2016 as the CTO, where they continue to contribute their expertise in technology and leadership.

Chin Kuo completed their Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (BEE) from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art between 1983 and 1987. In 1980 to 1983 they attended Stuyvesant High School for their high school education. In 2005 to 2006, Chin Kuo pursued a Graduate Certificate in Information Technology from NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
