Jack Buffington has a diverse and extensive work experience. Jack currently holds the position of Program Director/Professor of the Practice at the University of Denver since 2018, where they created and developed a supply chain program. Jack is also involved in building a research platform and creating a supply chain community.

Jack Buffington has also worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) from 2012 to 2016, Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver from 2011 to 2013, Post Doc at Lulea University of Technology from 2010 to 2011, and Ph.D. candidate at Luleå University of Technology from 2009 to 2010. Jack was also an Adjunct Professor at Daniels College of Business from 2008 to 2010.
Furthermore, they have authored a book for Greenwood Press in 2007 titled "An Easy Out: Corporate America's Addiction to Outsourcing".
Jack Buffington, also known as 明 杰, has an education history that includes a Ph.D. in Industrial Marketing from Luleå University of Technology, which they earned from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained an MBA in Finance and Economics from the University of Baltimore, attending from 1988 to 1991. Their undergraduate studies were completed at Towson University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Psychology from 1983 to 1987.
