Lyn Gooding has extensive experience in leadership and public service, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of First Light Southwest since September 2019, where the organization provides vital support to individuals affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence in Cornwall, Devon, and Wiltshire. Previously, Lyn held the role of Criminal Justice, Commissioning & Partnership Manager at the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly from May 2016 to September 2019, managing key areas related to domestic abuse and safeguarding while overseeing a £3 million budget. Lyn's career in law enforcement began in December 1985 with Devon & Cornwall Police, where a progression of roles culminated in a position as Sergeant after gaining diverse experience in response, child protection, and major crime investigations.

We provide a range of support in Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, Swindon & Wiltshire, and across England & Wales. Anyone can be affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence, and we support people of all ages and genders, including people with a disability and members of the LGBTQ+ community. We’re independent of statutory agencies, including the police, and every year we help thousands of adults and children to lead safer lives, free from violence and abuse.
