Patrick Sims

Patrick Sims has extensive experience in the legal field, particularly in compliance and corporate law. Currently serving as Assistant General Counsel at First Merchants Corporation, Patrick previously held various positions at the same organization, including Corporate Counsel and Compliance Officer. Prior to First Merchants Corporation, Patrick worked as an Attorney and Compliance Officer at First Financial Bank NA, where responsibilities included contract negotiation and compliance management. Additional experience includes a role as Contract Attorney for The Gnoêsis Group and as an Attorney at Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP, focusing on corporate governance and transactional law. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Indiana University Bloomington and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
