Michael Fitzgerald

Michael Fitzgerald, PMP has extensive work experience in project management and leadership roles. Michael is currently the Director of Project Management at First Mode, where they oversee the development and manufacture of decarbonization solutions for heavy industry partners. Prior to this, they served as the Director of the Project Business Office at First Mode, where they provided professional management support across the entire program and project life cycle. Before joining First Mode, Michael worked at Arizona State University as a Project Manager in the Research Project Management Office, where they managed a portfolio of complex NASA projects. Michael also held the role of Project Coordinator and Grant & Contract Officer at the university. Additionally, Michael has experience at Telesoft Corp. as an Invoice Specialist II, and at Debus, Kazan & Westerhausen, Ltd. as an IT Consultant. Their early career included a role as the Firm Administrator at Ekmark & Ekmark, LLC, where they were instrumental in implementing IT infrastructure and improving business operating procedures. Overall, Michael has a strong background in project management, research, and IT.

Michael Fitzgerald, PMP obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from Arizona State University, where they studied from 2006 to 2009. In addition, they have certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in December 2019, and as a Scrum Master from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile, obtained in June 2018.
