Andre Prinsloo

Andre Prinsloo is an experienced technical manager and metallurgist with a robust background in mineral processing and water management. Currently serving as Technical Manager at First Quantum Minerals since November 2015, Andre leads a team of senior metallurgists to implement recovery improvement plans across multiple large processing plants, overseeing key functions such as hydrometallurgy and project implementation. Prior experience includes a role as Specialist Water Management at Anglo American, where Andre addressed critical water security risks and promoted innovative solutions for water management. Andre's career also features positions as Production Manager at Lisheen Mine and various roles at Namakwa Sands, focusing on plant optimization and process design. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Mineral Process Engineering and Bachelor's Degrees in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, all from the University of Stellenbosch.
