Mark Siegel is an accomplished author, artist, and editorial director with 20 years of innovative experience in the publishing industry. Currently serving as the Editorial & Creative Director at First Second since 2005, Siegel has also been a self-employed writer and illustrator since 1999, creating notable graphic novels and picture books, including *Sailor Twain* and *5 WORLDS*. Siegel holds a BA in Writing and Fine Arts from Brown University, earned between 1985 and 1988.
