Qi Li is an experienced development and manufacturing engineer currently employed at First Solar since February 2024, focusing on manufacturing solutions development. Previously, Qi held roles as a senior scientist and device scientist at Energy Materials Corporation from January 2018 to December 2023, contributing to the advancement of perovskite device technology and collaborating with external partners on module development. Academic experience includes serving as a graduate research assistant at the University at Buffalo Graduate School of Engineering and Applied Sciences from January 2012 to January 2018 and as a project manager for an undergraduate engineering project during the summer of 2017. Additionally, Qi was a graduate teaching assistant for a core chemical engineering course in 2012 and conducted undergraduate research at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, specializing in the synthesis and characterization of nanocrystals. Qi obtained a PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University at Buffalo in 2017 and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 2011.
