Vera Steinmann

Vera Steinmann is a highly experienced professional in the field of materials science and engineering, currently serving as Technology Program Manager IV at First Solar since June 2019. Prior to this role, Vera held positions as Senior and Research Engineer at Kateeva from October 2016 to June 2019, focusing on thin film encapsulation and metrology. With a strong academic background, Vera completed two postdoctoral fellowships at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from January 2013 to September 2016, concentrating on earth-abundant thin-film photovoltaics, and a postdoctoral associate role at the University of Cologne from November 2008 to December 2012, specializing in organic electronics. Vera holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Cologne, as well as a Master of Science in Physics from the University at Albany and a Vordiplom in Physics from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg.
