James Ayers

A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, as well as the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, James also earned a certificate in Bank Executive Leadership from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. James brings more than 20 years of banking experience and over the years, he has overseen Credit Administration, Enterprise Wide Risk Management, Finance, Fair Lending, Deposit Compliance, Commercial Lending and Security. He will join the First State Bank team as a Regional Retail and Relationship Manager for the Kentucky market.

A current resident of Inez, Kentucky, James will also be receiving his MBA from the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville. He is a member of the Kentucky Bankers Association Governmental Affairs Committee, a board member of One East Kentucky, and a board member of the Highlands Foundation. In 2017/2018, James was recognized as an emerging leader by the Kentucky Bankers Association.
