Robert Sortwell has extensive experience in risk management, having held senior roles at several financial institutions. As Head of Risk at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management from June 2009 to July 2015, Robert developed a risk management framework for the UCITS compliant investment management business and conducted comprehensive portfolio risk analyses. Prior to this, Robert served as Senior Risk Manager at Old Mutual Limited, focusing on fiduciary risk management, and at Barclays Investment Bank, where duties included pre-risking new fund derivative deals. Earlier in Robert's career, experience as a Junior Risk Manager at GNI Fund Management involved market and operational risk assessments. Since August 2015, Robert has been the Head of Investment Risk at Aware Super. Robert holds a BA in Accounting, Financial Management, and Maths from The University of Sheffield.
