Lisa Turner-Colling

Lisa Turner-Colling, PhD has a diverse range of work experience. Lisa started their career as a Psychology Instructor at Douglas College from September 1999 to December 2008. In parallel, they also worked as the Director of International English Language Study Tours at Coquitlam College, where they developed and implemented an International Study Program, overseeing all aspects of the program.

In 2009, Lisa joined Arizona State University as a Senior Research Specialist. Lisa worked in this role for two years before moving on to become a Research Specialist, Senior, where they stayed until 2011.

In 2010, Lisa served as a Freelance Consultant/ Instructional Designer at Pearson Education. Lisa'sresponsibilities included preparing essay and multiple-choice questions to supplement student learning objectives for an online companion website.

Since 2011, Lisa has been associated with FIRST THINGS FIRST, initially working as an Evaluation Specialist and later becoming the Evaluation Project Director. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director of Research and Evaluation.

Lisa Turner-Colling, PhD, completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Simon Fraser University from 1994 to 2000. Lisa then pursued a Master of Arts in Human Learning, Development, and Instruction at The University of British Columbia from 2002 to 2005. Lisa continued their educational journey and obtained their PhD in Educational Psychology, Human Development, Learning, and Culture from The University of British Columbia from 2006 to 2012.
