Guided by more than 50 years of on-the-ground experience, First Up’s (formerly DVAEYC) best-in-class training, effective advocacy, and accessible technical assistance give educators and advocates the specialized tools they need to transform lives.

At its core, Early Childhood Education is about putting children first. During a child’s first eight years, a high-quality early learning experience is critical to their social, emotional, and educational development. We assert that the first relationships that children develop with family, caregivers, and early childhood professionals are crucial in creating a path forward to success.
