Rick Suel has over 20 years of work experience in engineering roles. Rick started their career at the University of Louisville as a Teaching Assistant, assisting students with embedded hardware/software projects. Rick then moved on to Honeywell, where they worked as an Electrical Engineer, designing hardware and software for the fire industry. After that, they joined GE as a Lead Software Engineer, responsible for developing motor control software platforms and designing algorithms for washer functionalities. During their time at GE, they also served as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, and Principal Engineer for Power Electronics Software. In 2017, they transitioned to GE Appliances, a Haier company, where they took on the roles of Principal Software Engineer and Agile Coach, Director of Software Engineering, and currently serves as the Director of Engineering at FirstBuild. Throughout their career, Rick has demonstrated leadership skills, promoted agile methodologies, and contributed to the development of innovative software solutions.

Rick Suel has a strong educational background in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Rick obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Louisville between 1995 and 2000. Rick further pursued their education in the same field at the University of Louisville and completed a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering in the year 2001.
