Mac Dalton

Mac Dalton currently serves as the Head of Corporate Affairs at FirstCape since May 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Head of Investment Communications at Bank of New Zealand from January 2020 to April 2024 and Senior Analyst in Investment Communications at BNZ from December 2015 to January 2020, where responsibilities also included Government Relations Manager and External Relations Consultant. Mac held the position of Communications Manager at EY from May 2013 to December 2015, acting as a media spokesperson and managing key external communication initiatives. Earlier experience includes Public Affairs Manager at the Department of Treasury and Finance, Victoria, managing high-profile issues and ministerial communications, as well as contributions to communications and issues management during bushfire recovery efforts. Mac began a media advisory role at Inland Revenue in 2007. Educational qualifications include a Master of Business from Victoria University and a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management from Flinders University, alongside a BA (Hons) in Political Studies from the University of Otago and various short courses in relevant fields.
