Amber Aldaco is a seasoned communications specialist with extensive experience in media and communications. Currently serving as a Communications Specialist at FirstDay Foundation since January 2024, Amber previously held the same role at the University of Houston-Victoria from November 2019 to July 2023. Prior to these positions, Amber worked as a reporter for the Victoria Advocate from March 2017 to September 2019 and for the Kingsville Record from August 2014 to February 2017, focusing on education coverage and producing feature stories, video packages, and photography. Amber holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, completed in 2013.
