Abigail Phillips

Abigail Phillips currently serves as the VP and Chief Risk Officer at FirstEnergy, a position held since June 2023. Previously, Abigail worked at PSEG for over seven years in various senior roles, where responsibilities included leading climate solutions initiatives, expanding continuous improvement processes, and establishing enterprise risk management frameworks. Prior experience includes senior management roles at Duquesne Light Company, where risk management culture was enhanced, and further roles that contributed to the development of enterprise risk management programs at Southern California Edison and competitive market policies at FirstEnergy Solutions. Abigail holds a JD in Business Law and Intellectual Property from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, an MBA in Management Design from the Weatherhead School of Management, and a BA in Political Science/Economics from Bates College, along with study in European politics at the University of Melbourne.
