Carol Giles

Carol Giles, CPA, MBA, has extensive experience in financial management and accounting within the energy sector, currently serving as Manager of Business Services at FirstEnergy since 2011. Responsibilities include overseeing staff across multiple locations to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis for Regulated Generation plants. Prior to FirstEnergy, Carol held various managerial positions at Allegheny Energy from 2000 to 2011, focusing on administration and environmental compliance, as well as developing budgets and performance analyses. Carol's career began at Allegheny Energy in 1984 as a Business Consultant, progressing to Senior Internal Auditor, where expertise in financial and operational audits was established. In addition to industry experience, Carol has contributed to education as a faculty member at Seton Hill University, teaching advanced accounting and finance courses. Carol holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business and a BA in Accounting from Seton Hill University.
