Dave McCartney, P.E. has over 17 years of engineering experience, currently serving as a Senior Engineer in Substation Services at FirstEnergy since July 2007. McCartney has held various positions within the company, including Engineer IV roles in both Substation Services and Smart Grid, and has been involved in the DOE-sponsored SGIG project, focusing on advanced metering infrastructure and home-area network engineering. Prior to FirstEnergy, McCartney worked as Engineer 1 in Manufacturing Engineering at The Hoover Company for one year. McCartney obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Akron, completing studies in 2006.
