John Brooks

John Brooks is an experienced nuclear operations professional with a robust background in reactor management and training. As a Licensed Reactor Operator at FirstEnergy since April 2015, John manages control room operations and emergency procedures to ensure the safe functioning of the power plant. Prior to this role, John served in the US Navy from November 1991 to April 2015, where responsibilities included operating a Control Room Simulator as a Simulator Operator and supervising reactor operations as Engineering Officer Of the Watch. John's leadership experience encompasses training and mentoring personnel and enforcing safety regulations across various supervisory roles. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering Technology from Excelsior University, obtained between 2013 and 2014.
