Jose Silva

Jose Silva, P.E., PMP, MBA, serves as a Supervisor of Transmission Project Management at FirstEnergy, where responsibilities include overseeing a team managing a $910 million budget for key substation and transmission upgrades crucial to New Jersey's clean energy initiatives. Prior to joining FirstEnergy in January 2023, Jose held the position of Staff Engineer at PSEG, successfully managing over $100 million in transmission and distribution projects and enhancing grid reliability through extensive fiber installations. Jose's earlier experience includes roles as an Electrical Engineer with Info Tran Engineers, a Junior Electrical Engineer at Top Shelf Electric Corp., and a Field Engineer at CB&I, showcasing a strong foundation in engineering management and project execution. Jose holds an MBA from Rutgers University, a Master of Science in Power and Energy Systems from New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar.
