Michael Christensen

Michael Christensen has extensive experience in project and construction management within the energy sector, currently serving as a Technical Service Supervisor at FirstEnergy since August 2007, overseeing joint use projects for Ohio Edison. Previously, Michael held roles including Senior Engineer focused on the nuclear and fossil generation fleet and provided engineering support for fossil generation projects. Prior to FirstEnergy, Michael worked at New York Power Authority from 1999 to 2007, managing capital and large O&M projects for hydro generation facilities, and served as a Project Electrical Engineer for modernization efforts at the Saint Lawrence Hydro Project. Michael's career began at Minnesota Power from 1991 to 1999 as an Electrical Engineer, providing essential support for generation facilities and power customers, and was preceded by a role at the Naval Facilities Engineering Command specializing in contract management and design review for naval shore facilities. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Syracuse University, earned between 1983 and 1988.
