Peter Manousos

Peter Manousos has built a distinguished career as a Senior Meteorologist and Consultant at FirstEnergy since 2006, where expertise in meteorology and leading weather-related decision-making is emphasized. Acknowledged as an award-winning meteorologist, Peter specializes in interpretation and prediction of weather impacts on safety, financial, and economic concerns. As a Supervisor and Lead in various roles, responsibilities have included overseeing the implementation of system operations tools, enhancing operational readiness through emergency management initiatives, and leading teams to achieve performance objectives. Prior experience at NOAA National Weather Service from 1992 to 2006 involved operational forecasting and program management, contributing to policy development and training at multiple levels. Peter holds a Master's degree in Atmospheric Science and a Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, supplemented by a minor in Mathematics/Computer Science.
