Andy Scholey

Andy Scholey has a diverse work experience in the transportation industry. Andy started their career with London Buses as a Graduate Management Trainee, where they gained experience in various roles such as Conductor, Driver, Inspector, Garage Inspector, and Garage Operations Manager. Andy then joined G M Buses / First Manchester, where they held senior management positions, including Depot Manager and Divisional Manager. Andy was also involved in the management/employee buyout of the company. Later, they joined FirstGroup PLC and held various leadership positions, including Managing Director of First Calderline, Operations Director of First Leeds, Managing Director of First Yorkshire West, Managing Director of First Manchester, and Managing Director of First Travel Solutions. In their role at FirstBus, they were responsible for managing the company's response to the Competition Commission market enquiry, planning and delivering spectator transport at the London 2012 Olympic Games, and bidding for the G2014 Commonwealth Games. Andy's work experience spans from 1983 to the present.

Andy Scholey completed a Bachelor's degree in Geography, Botany, and Geology from The University of Sheffield from 1980 to 1983.
