David Blizzard

David Blizzard is the current Company Secretary at FirstGroup plc. Prior to this, they held the same position at Signature Aviation plc from June 2016 to October 2021. From January 2013 to May 2016, they were the Head of Secretariat at BBA Aviation plc. And from April 2004 to December 2012, they were the Director of Company Secretarial Services Team at Barclays.

David Blizzard has extensive experience in corporate governance, compliance, and company secretarial matters. David has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2017 and has played a key role in a number of significant projects for their previous employers.

David Blizzard attended the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, where they earned a postgraduate diploma in professional legal skills. David also holds a barrister's degree from City University - Inns of Court School of Law. Additionally, David Blizzard is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries, holding the FCIS designation.
