Hamish McMecking

Hamish McMecking has a diverse range of work experience. Hamish started their career as an Inventory Analyst at City Forests Limited in 2011 and worked there until 2015. In 2015, they transitioned to Statistics New Zealand where they worked as a Statistical Analyst for a year. In 2016, they joined Virgin Trains as a Strategy Analyst and was later promoted to Senior Strategy Analyst in 2018. Hamish then moved to FirstGroup plc in 2019 where they began as a UK Rail Revenue Analyst. Hamish later became the UK Rail Demand and Revenue Forecasting Manager and currently holds the position of Head of Revenue and Demand Forecasting.

Hamish McMecking obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Statistics from Durham University in 2013-2014. Prior to that, they also pursued a Bachelor's Degree in the same field at the University of Otago from 2012-2014. Hamish completed their secondary education at Otago Boys' High School from 2007-2011.
