James Bowen

James Bowen has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. James began their career as a Senior Accountant at Ernst & Young in 1997 and worked there until 2002. James then joined Compel Group plc as a Group Financial Controller from 2002 to 2004. Following that, they worked as a Financial Consolidation Manager at the Royal Bank of Scotland from 2004 to 2007. James then joined FirstGroup plc, where they held various positions, including UK Bus Financial Controller, Finance Director - South West & Wales, Regional Finance Director for Wales & South of England, Divisional CFO, and currently serves as the Director of Finance, a position they started in February 2021. Overall, James Bowen has extensive experience in accounting, financial management, and leadership roles across multiple industries.

James Bowen completed their education at the University of Warwick from 1992 to 1995, where they studied Mathematics. James later attended ICAEW from 1997 to 2000, earning a degree as a Chartered Accountant.
