Mike Nelson is the Finance and Strategic Development Director for First Rail at FirstGroup plc, a role held since 2020. They previously served as Deputy Finance Director and Finance Director for European Business at MTR Corporation Limited from 2014 to 2016. Mike has also worked as a Finance Manager at British Airways in various capacities from 1997 to 2000, including leading a worldwide restructuring project. They have a degree in Aerospace Systems Engineering from the University of Southampton, obtained between 1990 and 1993.
