Douglas van Winkle

Douglas Van Winkle currently serves as the Director of Legal & Regulatory Affairs at FirstLight Fiber since April 2024. Prior to this role, Douglas held various positions at Crown Castle, including Managing Counsel and Senior Attorney, from November 2017 to May 2024. Douglas's experience also includes serving as an Attorney at Lightower Fiber Networks/Sidera Networks/NEON Communications from December 2005 to November 2017 and working as a Regulatory/Contracts Administration Specialist at NEON Communications from September 2003 to December 2005. Earlier in the career, Douglas was the Intellectual Property Manager at CTC Communications from September 1999 to September 2003 and started as a Legal Assistant at Dow Lohnes PLLC from August 1992 to September 1999. Douglas earned a Juris Doctor degree from Suffolk University Law School between 2001 and 2005 and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland from 1986 to 1991.
