Laurence Sullivan

Laurence Sullivan has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Laurence began their career at IBM in 2000 as a Help Desk/IT Support intern, where they played a crucial role in transforming the Industrial Engineering department by automating tasks through VB code.

In 2001, Sullivan joined Innovation Associates as a Systems Administrator, providing IT support and managing network expansion and upgrades for a small business. Laurence later moved to Cadence Design Systems in 2003, where they worked as a User Interface Developer, contributing to GUI development for command line apps and helping bring in-house tools to the market.

From 2005 to 2013, Sullivan worked at Lockheed Martin in various roles, including Systems Integration Analyst, Systems Administrator, and IT Systems Engineer. Laurence was responsible for supporting the Space Based Infrared Systems ground segment and led the implementation of a new backup system, resulting in zero data losses that were not recoverable.

From 2016 to 2019, Sullivan worked as an Augmented Reality Anti-Abuse Consultant for an undisclosed company, developing methods and technologies to detect fraud and abuse in leading augmented reality games.

In 2019, Sullivan joined Global Payments Inc. as an Information Security Consultant, where they provided technical leadership in moving data centers from acquired companies into the enterprise go-forward data centers. Laurence authored architecture artifacts for the new data center components and ensured a smooth transition without customer impacts or security risks.

Most recently, in 2021, Sullivan joined FirstLink Technology, Inc. as a Senior Systems Engineer.

Laurence Sullivan attended SUNY Broome Community College from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree in Information Systems.
