James Austin

James Austin is the Chief Financial Officer at FirstMac Limited, having joined the company in April 2005. In this role, they oversee finance, treasury, securitisation functions, and loan servicing, contributing to FirstMac’s position as a leading non-bank home loan lender in Australia. Prior to FirstMac, James served as the Chief Operating Officer at HSBC Japan from 1998 to 2004, managing Treasury Finance, Market Risk, and Treasury Operations. They hold a Bachelor of Business in Commerce from Queensland University of Technology and are a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia.
