David Sanchez

DFT Engineer at FirstPass Engineering

David Sanchez has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. David began their career in 2009 as a Hardware Verification Intern at Intel Corporation. From there, they joined the Sever Development Group as a Hardware Validation Engineer, working on pre-silicon validation for Xeon products. David ramped up on Intel architecture and Xeon micro-architecture and collaborated on enabling validation infrastructure. In 2014, they transitioned to the Hardware Security Research team at Intel, where they conducted security design reviews and assessments for IP assets on the IIO module and other areas within the CPU. David also collaborated with architecture, design, and validation teams to ensure security validation efforts followed the SDL methodology. In 2019, David joined FirstPass Engineering as a DFT Engineer, executing scan insertion and ATPG for block-level IP and top-level SOC for state-of-the-art CPUs in GFX and supercomputer products. David implemented stuck-at and TDF fault models and analyzed scan insertion and ATPG coverage. Most recently, David became a DFT Team Lead at Synopsys Inc in 2021. Overall, David's work experience showcases their expertise in various aspects of engineering, including DFT, hardware validation, and hardware security.

David Sanchez is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Digital Design at ITESO Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara. David started their Master's program in 2013 and is expected to complete it in 2016. Prior to their Master's degree, David obtained a Bachelor's degree in Digital Design from Instituto Tecnologico de Hermosillo (ITH) between 2001 and 2006.
