Kara Henson has a diverse range of work experience in the field of design verification engineering. Kara began their career at StorageTek as an intern from 1994 to 1998. In 1999, they joined Motorola's Engineering Rotation Program, where they gained exposure to various areas such as PowerPC Modeling and Applications. From 1999 to 2011, Kara worked at Freescale Semiconductor and Freescale, serving as a Verification Engineer and later transitioning to an IP Design Verification Engineer. In 2005, they briefly pursued an independent venture as the owner of Color Me Beautiful. In 2011, Kara joined SMSC as a Principal Verification Engineer before moving to Microchip Technology, where they held the position of Principal Verification Engineer from 2011 to 2019. Currently, they are working at FirstPass, which is now a part of Synopsys, Inc., as a Senior Design Verification Engineer. Overall, Kara Henson has over two decades of experience in design verification engineering, with a diverse range of roles in various companies.

Kara Henson pursued their undergraduate education from 1994 to 1999 at the University of Colorado Boulder. During this time, they focused their studies on Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, and Physics, earning a degree in ECEE (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering).
