Scott Nixon has a long and varied work experience in the field of engineering. Scott started their career as a Co-Op student at Bendix in 1987 before moving on to work as a Member Technical Staff at ASIC Designs Inc. in 1993. From there, they worked as a Design Engineer at VLSI Technology in 1994, and then joined Sicom as a Staff Engineer from 1995 to 2000. Scott then worked as a Design Engineer at Mobility Electronics from 2000 to 2002, and as a Design Engineer at Avocent from 2002 to 2005.
In 2005, they joined Intel Corp as a Staff Engineer until 2006, when they joined Honeywell as a Senior Staff Engineer. At Honeywell, they worked until 2015 before taking on their current role as the Principal ASIC/FPGA Engineer at FirstPass Engineering.
Scott Nixon holds a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from Arizona State University, which they obtained between 2009 and 2013. Prior to that, they earned another Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, completing it from 1991 to 1992. Scott also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, which they achieved between 1986 and 1991.
