Deon O.

Deon O. has extensive experience in internal audit and IT audit, currently serving as Internal Audit Head: Technology at FirstRand Group since April 2010, after progressing through roles as Senior IT Audit Manager and IT Audit Manager. Prior experience includes five years as a Senior IT Auditor at Discovery Health and six years as a Senior Consultant at KPMG. Deon's career began at IBM, providing technical support for its personal computer and ThinkPad lines. Deon holds a Master's degree in Computer Audit from the University of Johannesburg and several certifications, including Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Academic qualifications also include a Higher Diploma in Computer Auditing and honors and undergraduate degrees in Information Systems.
