Jonathan Stilwell

Jonathan Stilwell is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in macro research, sustainability, and corporate governance. Currently serving as the Head of Macro Research at FirstRand Investment Office, Jonathan specializes in macro and credit analysis to support various banking strategies and manages government bond portfolios across multiple countries. Previously, Jonathan held the role of Group Sustainability Programme Manager at FirstRand, where responsibilities included driving enterprise-wide sustainability initiatives and developing socially responsible investment funds. Jonathan's career also features significant positions in corporate governance at FirstRand and business consultancy at FNB South Africa, as well as research roles with the European Commission. Jonathan holds a Doctorate in Economics from UVSQ Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and has an extensive educational background in political economy and political science.
