Kenny Mendes

Kenny Mendes is an experienced professional in operations and people management with a diverse background in leadership roles. Currently serving as Chief People Officer at Grammarly since February 2025, Kenny also holds the position of COO at Coda since its founding in February 2015, initially focusing on Recruiting and HR while expanding responsibilities to include Finance, Operations, and Legal. As the Founder of Startup Hiring since February 2021, Kenny launched a course and community aimed at improving hiring practices for founders. Additionally, Kenny has been an Angel Investor with First Round Capital since May 2019, participating in the Spring 2019 Angel Track Cohort to enhance investing skills. A brief sabbatical was taken from November 2014 to February 2015 following five years at Box. Kenny holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
