Maryam A. currently serves as Membership Director for both FiscalNote and the DEI Board since January 2022. Previously, Maryam held the position of Director of Policy and Outreach at the Institute for Peace and Secular Studies from April 2021 to January 2022 and was Program Manager at Global Health Advocacy Incubator from February 2019 to March 2021. Further experience includes roles as Director and Manager at the Thomas Foundation from October 2016 to January 2019, and an Oversight and Investigation Fellowship with Senator Elizabeth Warren in the United States Senate in June 2016. Maryam began as an APAICS Fellow with Congresswoman Judy Chu in the United States Congress from September 2015 to May 2016. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree from Boston University and a Doctor of Law (JD) from the City University of New York School of Law.
