Philip Resnik is an accomplished academic and industry expert, currently serving as the MPower Professor at the University of Maryland since 1996, with joint appointments in the Department of Linguistics and the Institute for Advanced Computer Studies, alongside an affiliate role in Computer Science. Resnik is a Fellow of the Association for Computational Linguistics and has extensive advisory roles, including positions at Trustible, FiscalNote, and Converseon. Resnik co-founded Thematically, and founded React Labs, both emphasizing innovative applications of language technology and user engagement. Prior experience includes technical co-founding of CodeRyte, Inc., a research scientist position at Sun Microsystems, and work in natural language processing at BBN.
