Jim Butler

Jim Butler serves as the VP of Engineering at Follett, a position held since June 2018 following the acquisition of Fishtree, a company co-founded by Jim that focuses on education software, where Jim is the Chief Technology Officer. Prior to this, Jim held the role of CTO and Senior Vice President of Technology at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, overseeing technology strategy for a major U.S. education publishing company with a global team of over 700 professionals. Jim's extensive experience includes technology leadership roles at Vodafone Ireland, Riverdeep, and 3, as well as software engineering positions at Telefónica and Microsoft. Jim Butler holds a B.Sc. in Applied Physics from Dublin City University and completed the Leadership for Growth CEO Program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
