Fitness Tech is a student-led engineering organization at the University of Washington building the future of wearable fitness technology. We're primarily an engineering team — hardware, software, and research — developing integrated devices and applications to advance how athletes and everyday users understand their bodies.
What We're Building

BioBand — a sport-focused wrist wearable for real-time biometric tracking
SipSync — a smart hydration tracker that automatically logs your intake
Beacon — our newest project, currently in early development (stay tuned 👀)
MyFitnessTech — our companion iOS app for workout logging, metric tracking, and data visualization (live on the App Store!)

We're actively developing cloud sync and AI-powered coaching features, with more projects in the pipeline as the club continues to grow.

Fitness Tech also operates as an active research team — designing studies, pursuing IRB approval, collecting real-world biometric data, and working toward peer-reviewed publication.

Who We Are
A diverse community of student engineers, designers, researchers — and business-minded folks too. While we're primarily an engineering team, we're also looking for business members to help drive strategy, partnerships, and growth. Whether you're into embedded systems, mobile development, ML, research, or the business side of building real products — there's a place for you here.
