Thomas E. Healy

Tom is a partner in our New York City and Stamford Connecticut offices. He has been practicing for over twenty-five years. He concentrates his practice on product liability, premises liability, commercial, and subrogation disputes, and regularly represents clients in the federal and state courts throughout the United States. He also handles contractual, real estate, regulatory, and corporate matters for clients, and assists clients with product safety and risk management issues. In particular, he has represented a major appliance manufacturer on a national basis for many years, and served as local counsel for numerous other appliance manufacturers.

Prior matters of note which Tom has been involved with include: defending several gun manufacturers at the trial of the landmark NAACP v. A.A. Arms proceeding; litigating individual and class action matters alleging violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA); representing a leading computer manufacturer in connection with a leasing dispute; and prosecuting a multi-million dollar subrogation proceeding on behalf of an international insurer.

Tom is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut, New York’s federal and appellate courts, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, and Westchester Bar Association.
