Edward Lu

Edward Lu is a quantitative trader at Five Rings since August 2023, previously serving as a quantitative trading intern at the same firm. Edward's experience includes an undergraduate research assistant role at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where research focused on the effects of radiation from fusion reactions on superconducting magnets. Edward also worked as a quantitative analyst intern at bp and a research assistant at The University of Alabama in Huntsville, applying advanced methodologies to solar magnetic field analysis. Earlier, Edward contributed as a teaching assistant at AwesomeMath, facilitating problem sessions for students. Edward holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering with a minor in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and graduated as salutatorian from Cinco Ranch High School with a perfect GPA.
